OMG what an afternoon, I got to tour Parc Omega with @antoine.bernier, as we toured the Parc this happened. A male wapiti looked like he was in full rut mode... I know it’s not the season for that but boy he was moving everything out of his sight. From a safe distance we observed him prance around with his nose in the air, what a thrill it was to witness this. As we’re sleeping at the Parc tonight we also got a lovely welcome at our cabin. The timber wolves sang us a song(howled) what a superb experience. We just finished dinner at Le Bistro. Heading back for some more howling from our friends. DM me for info on the lodging at Parc Omega. •With No memory card in the camera, this evening shoot started off on a bad foot! •Picked one up quickly, made my way to this location as the heavy winds had blown over my tripod, hmmm not a great start cause the clouds moved in so quickly that the sunset colours vanished in the winter sky. •Finally I’m set up but.. I need to hold my tripod down with MY WEIGHT cause the winds are so wicked. •Unbelievable when the few minutes they did die out.. I seen hail on my lens, snow squalls, more heavy winds and an “I want to quit this shoot”. •Then @james.peltzer joined me in this horrible night of wanting the perfect sunset mission to let’s not get blown away this 24 story building. •All that said.. this is one of the shots I managed to capture as well as a few from the Parliament Hill and The Chateau Laurier. A little throwback to over a year ago when I visited Banff Alberta. The Athabasca Falls was a highlight of this trip, as this peeking sunrise over the mountains lit up what we wanted to explore. The falls are located 30 minutes outside of Jasper as you make your way to Lake Louise. . I’m planning a fall trip again this year and I’ve added a few extra days in the park. . There’s so much more to see than the major attractions.
